For this project, we first worked out designs which featured large motifs, then outlined them with glue mixed with black acrylic paint. This had to dry overnight. Step two involved painting in our designs with vivid tempura paints. They look almost like stained glass and the glue lines add texture and interest. Aren't they beautiful?

The kiddos did a wonderful job at our Character Counts/Spirit Day Assembly on the 27th! They used rhythm instruments to sing and play "Old McDonald Had A Band" and then showed how well they can keep a beat and do some fancy stick work - including twirling, tossing and bouncing the sticks - for "Sing Along With Me". The audience went wild! Thanks to all of the parents who were able to attend. I know it is impossible for many of you to get away from work at that time of day, but I hope your child told you all about it!
Thanks to your support, our class raised just shy of $500! We had almost 100% participation, which really helped a lot. We are waiting to hear the overall school total.
