We had fun on Friday's School Spirit day! Several kids dressed to reflect their cultural heritage and then we had a sea of blue and green to celebrate the earth too!

Here are our still lifes of three apples on a plate. We worked through the steps to draw the apples and use paint to shade them, then I told the kids to paint the plate a solid colour. The tablecloth I left up to them to design as they wished. The next day, they went over their lines with black crayon. Lily is honoured and recognized for her self discipline (we call it 'self regulation' in Grade One). You can also tell by her colourful hair that she has great school spirit! Way to go Lily!
