What a wonderful day we enjoyed at the zoo! The weather was cool enough for the animals, who were quite active - even this poor old tiger (not actually sure how I feel about some aspects of zoos). I've uploaded all of the pictures from my group on the site's picture gallery but I know that many people took photos that day, I would really appreciate getting those to add to the slideshow. If you have pictures, could you please send them on a thumb drive (which will be promptly returned)?
Thanks to Gary and Jennifer Gamble, who have already sent in their pictures - I've updated the site's gallery.

Responding to Emily's eloquently written invitation, our Grade 7/8 friends came to "hang out" with us this afternoon! What an excellent example they set for the littlest Mustangs! Everyone had a lot of fun and we hope to get together for 'hang outs' again soon!
Yesterday, we wrote a nice letter to our Grade 7/8 friends in Mrs. Hollinger's class to thank them for all of their hard work on the beautiful Mother's Day art we sent home. We took a little walk down to the big kids' classroom and read the letter, then we all went outside for a picture together! Really, I have to tell you that your child is so fortunate to go to this school because our student population is extraordinary. The older kids are so kind and helpful with the younger ones and they set an excellent example for respectful and responsible behaviour. EVERY substitute teacher who comes to this school is so impressed, and substitute teachers travel to many different schools!
I just wanted to write a quick note here to thank everyone for all of the goodies donated, with special thanks to the parents, friends and family who helped with the sale during the day. We made a good chunk of money so we'll be able to replace a lot of toys and materials in the classroom. Along that line, if you're doing spring cleaning and have things to donate we can use all sorts of things here: puzzles, blocks, building toys, games, and craft materials (including things you might throw out or recycle). Thanks again!
